A Woman Travels All The Way From New York To Nebraska To Adopt A 130-Pound Dog

A 130-pound St. Bernard named Cosmo was having a hard time finding a forever home. He was passed on to different owners due to his massive size until finally, he ended up at an animal shelter in Nebraska. The only good news for Cosmo was that it was a no-kill shelter, but he still desperately longed for a forever home.

Several months had gone by at the shelter, but still, the giant dog could not find any visitors willing to adopt him. One of the members of the shelter staff, Kristy, was aware of Cosmo’s sad situation and wanted to do something about it. She decided to go beyond the limited community in Nebraska and posted Cosmo’s photos with some brief information about him on an animal adoption website.

Kristy was still not sure whether Cosmo would be able to find a home because he might not be considered an ideal pet due to his immense size. However, the shelter staff was still hopeful because they knew that despite being a big dog, Cosmo was an adorable and loving pooch.

Then finally, the shelter staff was informed that a lady was going to drive all the way from New York to Nebraska to meet Cosmo in person. The woman named Jayne had instantly fallen in love with the pooch after seeing Cosmo’s pictures on the adoption website.

When Jayne reached Nebraska and met Cosmo, both of them immediately started hitting it off. Only after a few minutes of playful interaction with the dog, Jayne called over Kristy to finalize the adoption paperwork.

Before Cosmo’s journey to New York began, Jayne placed the back seats of the car down and transformed it into a dog bed. Cosmo gladly hopped onto Jayne’s vehicle, and the journey toward his new home began. Cosmo seemed to enjoy looking at the sights through the car window during his travel.

Finally, the pooch reached his home in New York, where he did not take much time to get fully acquainted with his newly found happy life.
