Although you may see choke collars as hurting the dog, they are only used temporarily, until the dog learns to maintain a steady tension. They inflict their own pain, and once they learn that, they stop pulling. Harnesses do nothing for training the dog to “heel” or not pull, since there is nothing to counter the bad behavior. But harnesses are better for everyday walking and not putting stress on their necks.

Choke chains? You mean slip leads? They arenโt bad for dogs if used correctly. The first thing to do is stop calling them choke chains ๐ makes it sound so much worse than it actually is. Smh
