Jaded Chick.
My husband raised German Shepherds all of his life. He never crated trained. Since his death, I need protection and I got 2 German Shepherds. We crated and they love it! 💕 They go into the crates on their own. It is security, their den. And…. Mama gets some private time. There is no privacy with Shepherds 😅

I saw a puppy pull the towel thru the grate and get its jaw stuck in the shredded cloth, was ok because i was there but……maybe we dont do that part? love the rest though, keep it up.

We have a cardboard box cut to fit over our puppy’s crate.

In their other videos, they usually explicitly point out that you should place a board on top and then drape a towel over it so that there is enough distance between the crate and the towel, meaning the puppy can’t reach. Maybe they forgot to mention that here.

My pup refuses to go into crate no matter what I do! I tried all treats, toys, his favorite chewing bones – he just throws such a tantrum… He doesn’t eat his treats and do not touches anything inside the crate, showing me a complete resistance…
By the way, the lady that owns that sweet pup, looks like a yoga lady 😊

What’s the best way to size a crate so it’s not too big or too small?
