Aeida the English Staffordshire Bull Terrier, now two years old, was a puppy when Nicole Ackehurst discovered her on a reputable breeder’s website after extensive searching. When Ackehurst saw Aeida’s photo, she fell in love at first sight.
Ackehurst stated that they have a very good relationship with their neighbors, so it only made sense for her to introduce their newest family member to their friends when she first arrived home. They quickly became Aeda’s friends because of her sweet demeanor.
She even decided to quickly ingratiate herself with the family by becoming inseparable from their dog. Cashew and Aeida are best friends, according to Ackehurst. The two dogs enjoy each other’s company so much that the neighbors built a special doggy door in the fence for them to visit whenever they want.
This affection extends beyond Cashew, with Aeida forming a strong bond with the children. She is frequently seen licking the eldest’s face and staring at her with admiration, or playing tug of war.
Their youngest, on the other hand, appears to be her favorite. He frequently drops food from his highchair for Aeida to eat, and she, like any English Staffordshire Bull Terrier, is always looking for a special treat. And recently, Aeida has expressed a desire to be a part of the children’s daily routine.
Ackehurst shared that they simply noticed Aeida had been over at Cashew’s house for a while after dinner one day, and they were soon sent a photo of Aeida sitting in their bathtub by their neighbors. The neighbors claimed that they ran the bath, went to get the kids ready, and returned to find Aeida.
It’s happened several times since, and the Ackehursts have been surprised by Aeida’s fondness for the ritual. So, while the bath time routine is a bit perplexing, Ackenhurst is grateful for the special bond she has formed with not only Cashew but also with their neighbors.
