There isn’t anything that a little tender loving care won’t solve. This family dog began behaving differently when its hooman baby started taking most of the attention that usually went the dog’s way.
Sibling rivalry
Sarang, an adorable, furry white dog, lives with its hooman family. The typical day goes on smoothly until playtime comes, and the hooman baby’s around Sarang.
The dog starts to show its dislike for the kid and barks furiously. The toddler immediately goes to his mom for some soothing words and a hug.
Seeing the human mom hold the toddler disgruntles the pet further, and it behaves more competitively. Sarang starts to take toys that the hooman baby attempts to reach – it’s a natural sibling rivalry.
Sarang’s hooman mom doesn’t understand why her pet behaves that way towards her son. Fortunately, an animal behaviorist tells mom why and then shows her how to manage the pet’s actions.
The first rule is to share attention between the pet and the human kiddo. So mom holds baby Jiho while she plays fetch with pet Sarang.
Second, compliment good behavior. Hooman momma pats and compliments the dog and gives it some treats – the doggo likes the attention but still considers baby Jiho competition.
Finally, mom puts treats on baby Jiho’s hand, and Sarang eats from it. Then Sarang sits down in front of the toddler, letting hooman mom know that everything’s okay now.
This story just proves that whether you’re a hooman or furry animal, all relationships need a ton of work!
Maintain your chill, pet, that’s your little bro right there – that kid’s gonna be your buddy, and we bet some epic adventure’s just around the corner waiting for both of you.
Our mad props to the team who helped this doggo find its inner peace – thank you for your hard work!
