Family Helps Terrified Foster Puppy Come Out Of Her Shell And Learn To Trust Humans

Family Helps Terrified Foster Puppy Come Out Of Her Shell And Learn To Trust Humans

Most rescue puppies didn’t have a good life before they were rescued. Many were neglected or abused by their previous owners while others were born as strays. Regardless of their past, many of these rescue puppies find it hard to adjust to life with humans.

A rescue puppy named Parker was fostered by a woman named Tamara. When Parker first came into Tamara’s home, Parker was so scared that she refused to come out of her crate. Parker even refused to make eye contact with the people around her and stayed at the back of the crate trembling.

Parker found it hard to trust humans and she was really timid. All Tamara wanted to do was grab Parker and hug her and tell her that everything was going to be okay. However, Tamara also knew that she needed to give Parker space and let her come out of the crate when she’s ready.

So, Tamara and her family left Parker alone and Tamara also spent some time with Parker by sitting next to the crate. Eventually, Parker started to understand that she’s in a safe place. Little by little, Parker started to peek out of the crate and even lick Tamara’s hand. Although Parker still retreated to the back of the crate, she started to realize that no one was going to hurt her.

Tamara also had an idea to let her kids come with food in their hands and call out to Parker. When Parker saw Tamara’s kids, she came out of the crate to say hello with her tail wagging. Tamara and her family celebrated every milestone that Parker had no matter how small it was.

After a couple of weeks, Parker completely came out of her shell. Eventually, Parker went to her new forever home. Parker was so different from what she was before when she first came into Tamara’s home. Thanks to Tamara, Parker finally learned to trust humans and she even adjusted quickly to her new home with her new mom, Kristen.

As soon as Parker went inside her new forever home, she started taking over everything. Parker even made friends with her new doggie sibling, Willow. It’s just amazing to watch how Parker blossomed into such a loving and playful dog. Here’s a heartwarming video showing Parker’s amazing transformation thanks to her foster family.
