Bandit is 20 weeks old and his biting is at least an 8. He never breaks the skin, but I’ve had a few good bruises and all of my sweaters and coats have holes in them. He bites me more than anyone else, so at l least I know he likes me? I’d love to know what I’m likely doing to encourage the biting and how to handle it in situations where I can’t physically remove myself from him (like on a walk)!

So my Willow is a (6 or 7 scaling) 5 MO Golden Retriever and she does bite hands and arms during play. She’s always done this and I’ve tried to get her to tone it down but I’ve been “understanding” because she’s teething and still a rambunctious puppy. But she bites REALLY hard during play sometimes and I’m struggling with deciding to discourage biting play all together or find a way to stop how hard she bites.
I unfortunately am at this alone so it’s just me and I know she gets built up by the end of the day and I know she wants to play. She does redirect to toys and tugs but if I want to be involved she’s instantly back to biting me for play. Sometimes I can’t even pet her without her getting excited and wanting to play.
