Jason shared that 90% of his shift is spent inside a car with Sonny. Jason recalled that he keeps the cruiser’s divider door open whenever he drives around so that Sonny could pop his head up to see the view from the inside of the vehicle.
Jason recalled that he sometimes gets surprised whenever Sonny pops his head out from the divider door. Jason shared that Sonny often rests his head on his shoulders and even falls asleep while standing up.
Jason shared that what he considers his ordinary workweek always meant fun and adventure for Sonny. Jason said that Sonny helped him live in the moment, and have fun with his job even though some days can get boring.
Jason said that Sonny’s olfactory senses are 20-50 times greater than humans. Jason shared that Sonny helps him do his job, especially when he needs to find something.
Jason recalled that there were times when they had to search 12-13 hundred square foot house, and it takes several officers a couple of hours to do that. However, Jason proudly shared that Sonny finishes his job in only a few minutes.
Jason shared that when he and Sonny are not working, his doggy partner still works hard because he has a bigger job at home. Jason said that Sonny is the best babysitter they could ever ask for because Sonny guards his human baby sister, Reagan.
