How To Train A Dream Dog
Thanks for watching this episode all about Kong Filler Ideas. Which recipe will you try first? Does your dog have a current favorite filler?

I’ve stuffed her kongs with kibble, natural Peter Pan p’nut butter, (sometimes creamy, sometimes crunchy & ALWAYS WITHOUT XYLITOL), pieces of chicken w/o bones of course! And, Frozen banana slices & blueberries.

@Sagittarius Max I freeze a healthy dry dog food soaked in water. Nutritious and no unwanted ingredients. Since licking is soothing and keeps dogs happily busy I didn’t want her to miss out but like you concerned that other foods, even foods tolerated by other dogs, might make her ill. I use different dry food to hopefully make it more exciting for her nose and taste buds

Awesome lesson, thanks so much… soaking it al in before the big arrival! 🐶

We tried the apple and banana and puppy mush. We actually made some ice cubes of it also for our puppy to eat outside while it’s hot out

Love how these give you a bit of peace while.your pup is entertained

GREAT ideas! I’ve been using cheese but concerned it’s too much. I’ll be getting a couple more Kong’s to fill with some of these ideas and have readily frozen!! Awesome 👏

I think is a much better alternative than the Kong fillers, which contain lots of preservatives and derivatives

I am so excited about introducing the Kong to my new puppy when he comes home. Thanks for the great ideas.

I love these recipes. I’ve been putting cheese in but it tends to dry up. I also use peanut butter but they clean that out too quickly. Going to try freezing now to see how they like it tomorrow.

I just wanted to say because I am a first time puppy owner your videos definitely help with knowing how to train them and what good foods they can eat and what toys they are and are not allowed to play with

I don’t know why I never thought of putting frozen treats into a Kong. I used to put “fake marrow” (mashed banana, natural peanut butter and some organic bread crumbs) into my previous dog’s Kong. Thanks to you my new pup has experienced frozen banana in her Kong today. Thanks for the great tip!

Thanks so much for all your videos! I’ve been binge watching and learning so much before we get our new puppy in a few weeks.
I do want to make home a fun and happy dog to be with.

Glad it helped!

Thank you for the ideas. My dog has a broken leg with a cast so finding things for her to do has been a challenge.
How To Train A Dream Dog
Sorry to hear that!

I took your idea of baby food and made baby food and water ice cubes. My puppy LOVES them😍
Farm girl
You could also use these puréed baby foods on a lick mat (frozen or not) for elderly dogs or dogs who have dental issues and for whom kongs are too painful for.

Thanks for the tip on peanut butter, I didn’t know that! Do you recommend a waiting period to see how they poop, allergies, etc. I only have 9 wk old Lab so am hesitant to do too much too soon. He doesn’t like crate but eats there and I’m hoping maybe a tasty treat will have him explore it longer
How To Train A Dream Dog
That’s definitely a good way to go! Wait it out and experiment with new things as long as his system is processing it. You will learn your pup’s preferences along the way.
