How To Train A Dream Dog
Thanks for watching Puppy Biting Tips For New Puppy Owners! How often does your puppy bite? What toy are you using to redirect your puppy’s attention away from you or others?
How To Train A Dream Dog
@Nathan Perry this is great! Have you heard of those no noise squeakers? I have one and my dogs love it. It has a silent squeaker only the dogs can hear inside it. I thought it was broken when I bought it home but it really does work!
Ruby Red Dress
How To Train A Dream Dog where can I find this magical dog toy? ❤️

We are struggling with our little vampire. ❤️She lunges at the other two dogs and has been reprimanded by both of them. Not bitten but corrected. I am thinking my other dogs may be reacting to my protective actions and can sense my angst. How do I get her to quit terrorizing my 13 and 7 yr old pups. I love her but feel so bad for the other two. They are walking on egg shells. She is super fast and does a drive by nip or tail pull or gets in their face and barks at them. Is there a video on this? Any advice would be so greatly appreciated by our two older dogs and me!

I have a schnauzer mini (3 months old) and have noticed that when I’m not successful in redirect him from my pants/shoes, I use my hands to push him away from pants, he gets aggressive and starts to jump and bite in my thighs (legs). He really changes his expression, looking scary. I try to imobilize him for a while, but he only gets agitated. I’ll try to leave the room more, and wait him chill out.
Virginia Williams
@Matheus Pessoa I too have a Miniature Schnauzer. He gets super hyper in the evenings. My husband takes him for his morning and evening walks/runs but he still gets super hyper and wants to bite… especially when you turn your back on him…he usually goes for the back of your pants! Other times he’s just as sweet as he can be, and we’ve not had any issues with potty training him…he’s done great in this area. But he does get wild at times and bites. I give him time out by putting him in his playpen. My husband will let him out if he starts crying…I don’t. He does better when he’s alone with me…he may try but I don’t put up with it…in he goes if he starts biting me…that is if I can catch him. 😂 lol.

Thank you. We have watched many dog videos and getting a puppy but your style and easy to understand manner is great. Plus no overpromotion. Thanks for helping js

Awesome video, thanks a lot! In a scale of let’s say 1-10, how much of bite inhibition does a puppy learns from his/her mother and siblings?
How To Train A Dream Dog
This varies with each litter but they really do learn a TON from their mother and interacting with their littermates!

This might be my new favorite dog channel…and based in Roc too! We have a 5 month old Australian Cattle Dog and just can’t seem to make much progress with him and his biting and other issues.
You go into more detail about reasons behind certain behaviors than other channels do and just fro. This video I picked a few things I want to try out!

1-Have good chew toys
2-Have toys in hand when going to puppy
3-A stong yelp or ouch when biting
4- Play without touching puppy
(Play gently when playing tug and war etc for fear of losing baby teeth)
5-Rotate toys every few days
6- Supervise you puppy
7- Exercise 5 min x puppy age in months
8- Watch body posture (Sit on chair while playing)
9- 3 strikes and then out put in crate to help calm down
10- NEVER Play “I’m going too get you”
Last resort= Pet correcter. Do not use on sound sensitive puppies or puppies with ear problems.

My puppy becomes overly snappy when she need something, a bit like a baby crying 😂 check potty-water,food- or NAP TIME . Lolol
Nancy Stern
I tried some of your techniques and have seen some quick results. I simply clap my hand loudly for distraction and redirect to a toy. After much repetition and praise it seems to be working. Thank you.

Thank you for the information, esp. for the ‘exercise’ time for puppies. I have 7 weeks old Beagle, of course she’s nipping and biting my finger, my feet and even my hair 🥲 I take her to walk nearby every morning and afternoon, which turned out she always walking back to home only after maybe 20 mins of walking. Based on your video now i know maybe 15-20 mins is just enough for my puppy.
How To Train A Dream Dog
That’s right! We don’t want to overtire them, that can definitely increase the biting behavior. For a 7 week old Beagle, only about 10 min of walking is okay. You can exercise them more with enrichment and training as well
Jordan Vasquez
@How To Train A Dream Dog i thought puppies can’t go on walks until 14 weeks?
Debbie Garrels
I am a new puppy mom of two 8wk old Chi/Maltese. I’m trying SO hard. I messed up the first two weeks and now they NEED to be together or they will cry for HOURS without letting up. Now that I’m on track with your videos, I feel a bit more confident. Thank you so much!

Magic Time Dogs
Thank you so much for this video. I’m going to have to test it out. Currently going through Day 2 puppy blues with a very bitey, chewy, whiney (during play) pup. I’m glad I found this so I hope I can use these techniques.
My pup does have a nylabone and bully stick to chew at all times in his crate as well since he does love to chew so much so far. But I hadn’t realized I may have been doing play time wrong so I hope I can slowly redirect his biting.
