We know we’re doing good by practicing social distancing and self-isolation. We’re all commended for helping out in trying to stop the spread of the coronavirus. But that doesn’t mean we’re happy at all times doing what needs to be done. That is why we can all relate to this adorable glum-looking pooch during the lockdown.
Pop, or more commonly known as Big Poppa, is an English Bulldog from Atlanta who recently became famous because of his very relatable photo. His owner, Rashida Ellis, shared an adorable picture of the three-year-old pup on social media, which immediately went viral. Big Poppa’s sad face represents all our feelings today.
Rashida uploaded Big Poppa’s photo on Twitter with a caption acknowledging the pup’s feelings. She described how her beloved pet misses playing outside with the children in their building. Big Poppa looks really downhearted as he seemed to be watching people down the street from where he is dejectedly standing on the patio. She also shared the same photo on Instagram but captioned it from the dog’s perspective and asked everyone to help flatten the coronavirus curve.
Big Poppa’s photo is so heart wrenching and adorable it gained over 650,000 likes just on Twitter. It even caught the attention of Maisie Williams from Games of Thrones and Ellen DeGeneres. Everyone seemed to agree to fight the coronavirus just for Big Poppa. Others are even willing to sacrifice their lives just to see him smile.
The pandemic has directly affected Big Poppa’s mom. Rashida works as a costume designer, and since TV and movie productions discontinued, she now works from home creating outfits and selling them online. Big Poppa has not been happy being cooped up and missing all his friends. Hang in there Big Poppa; we are all in this together!
