Cockapoos have been around for quite some time now, more so than most people thought. This designer dog breed was a combination of a Cocker Spaniel and a Poodle, which resulted in a hybrid. It had the intelligence and energy to complete an agility course, but at the same time, be your snuggle buddy during rainy nights.
These dogs also needed their daily dose of exercise to keep them fit and happy. If neglected, a cockapoo tended to become overweight. That’s why a woman named Susan Killip made it a point to walk her playful pup Rosie around their neighborhood regularly.
However, one particular morning during one of their walks, Susan and Rosie bumped into a man named Dave, who was also walking with his cockapoo dog. Coincidentally, they each got their pups from the same breeder ten months ago, and from the same litter. These two dogs haven’t seen each other in months, but their initial reaction at their impromptu reunion surprised their owners.
Instantly, the two dogs jumped up on their hind legs and hugged each other. It was fantastic to see them wrap their paws around each other in greeting. When the two owners chatted about where they got their dogs, that’s when they realized the two came from the same litter.
The two cockapoos, Rosie and Monty, were once inseparable when they were tiny puppies. Although they had four other siblings, these two bonded with each other straightaway. They were always seen playing or dozing off together.
Once everything was settled, and people were allowed to socialize again, Susan and David promised each other to meet and set up a playdate for their dogs. The cockapoos’ first birthday was as good a time as any for a celebration. These pups will indeed look forward to it!
