Rico Bucan, a resident of Taguig, Philippines, shared an adorable clip of a stray dog who managed to sneak into a mall in Taguig, Philippines. The dog, who appeared to be a homeless mongrel, was spotted cooling off on the mall’s tiled floor.
The mall in the video is called Vista Mall. Shortly after the dog was spotted, mall security guards were called to the scene to assist the dog off the premises. But the dog’s story didn’t end there.
Because of the way the security guard handled the dog, the video went viral, earning praises from viewers for how playfully the security guard handled the dog. While some may have expected the dog to just be shooed or kicked out of the mall, the guard instead personally escorted the dog by letting it walk beside him. Considering the dog had no leash, it was the best that the security guard could do for the dog.
People found the interaction between the guard and the dog to be cute. And even after the dog was led out of the mall, the mall’s security team had other plans.
As it turns out, the mall had enlisted the dog to be part of its security team and will work with the guards to keep the mall safe, including the guard who playfully led him out of the mall. And now, instead of being led out, the dog sits proudly with the mall security team with his newfound purpose.
According to a news report by Jedrian San Juan of ONE NEWS, the dog has found his family with Vista Mall as their new guard dog on duty. A happy ending for what used to be a homeless dog. Watch the dog become a part of the mall’s security team in the video below.
