Two-Year-Old Girl Convinces Mom Why It’s A Good Idea To Adopt A Deaf Puppy

Two-Year-Old Girl Convinces Mom Why It’s A Good Idea To Adopt A Deaf Puppy

Ellen Wilkie May 7, 2021

Most rescue dogs living in animal shelters didn’t have a good life in the past. Many were abused and abandoned by their families and others lived their entire lives as strays. Most of these dogs find it hard to trust humans because of past experiences. However, thanks to people volunteering to foster rescue dogs, a lot of these dogs get a second chance in having the life that they truly deserve.

A filmmaker named Thom McCallum is also a foster parent for rescue dogs. He volunteers at his local shelter as a foster for dogs that need it the most. One of his most memorable fosters is for a dog named Moz who was rescued as a stray.

Moz was still a puppy when he was rescued and he was also deaf. Moz didn’t really have a good life as a stray. Aside from being deaf, he also had a skin condition that caused him to lose his hair as well as made him smell bad. Most people wouldn’t want to adopt a dog like Moz.

As soon as Thom took Moz in as a foster dog, Moz immediately started to trust him. Moz didn’t even struggle when Thom gave him his first bath and Moz would constantly follow Moz around the house, which meant that Moz already started trusting his foster dad.

Thom also had other foster dogs living in his house and made Moz feel welcomed. Moz came out of his shell in no time and he immediately showed his loving and sweet personaity. Of course, Thom wanted to find a forever home for Moz.

While walking down the street with Moz in his backpack, Thom came by one of his neighbor’s house and let the two-year-old girl, Lillian, pet Moz. Lillian loved saying hi to Thom and his foster dogs but she fell in love with Moz the moment she met him. Moz also loved getting the attention from Lillian.

When Thom was going away for work, she asked Lillian’s family if they would be willing to look after Moz while he’s away. They agreed and Lillian couldn’t be happier to look after Moz. Every day, Moz and Lillian bonded and started to develop such an amazing friendship.

By the time that Thom came back from his trip, he already knew that Moz was already adopted by Lillian’s family. It was seeing Lillian so happy that convinced Lillian’s mom, Lauren, that adopting Moz is a great decision. After Moz got all his vaccinations, he was handed over to Lillian and her family and stat his new life in his new forever home. Here’s a heartwarming video showing how Moz found his forever family and his new best friend.
