In Germany, you’re only allowed to neuter your dog if there’s a medical reason for it (I’m not sure if this is also considered neutering but even hormonal chips are not allowed otherwise). Not wanting to breed or general behavior issues is not a reason enough here because this is part of our responsibility (training, keeping them safe) to prevent that. And because we have laws stating that you are not allowed to cause your pets any pain unless absolutely necessary. It’s different with strays but we don’t really have those. There are shelters that need to spay but they’re also declining because there are more (easy and doable) ways for them to keep the dogs from breeding.
So you’d need to figure out if their behavior (aggression, not being able to sleep, constant stress etc.) is because of their hormones. For example, if your male dog humps a lot of other dogs it could be because his hormones are crazy or because he’s establishing dominance, is stressed, lack of boundaries. So you’d need to figure out (with your vet) what it is and then act accordingly (neuer vs. training). Neutering a stressed dog that isn’t stressed because of a hormonal imbalance won’t change. It might even worsen it.
We had a neighbor who had to neuter their dog because he couldn’t eat, sleep, rest every time another dog in the neighborhood was in heat. So they used a hormone chip. When that completely erased the problem, the had him neutered.

Wow thank you 🙏🏻

Thank you so much for this. I’m shocked by the vets prices, though. Insurance won’t cover anything. Why is it $90 for the vet to pet him 30 seconds and go? “How is he feeling?” And another pay for the medicine that “might” help.

What would be a few example of “very good kibble”?
