Woman Kept Climbing A Mountain For 2 Years To Feed A Stray Dog

Woman Kept Climbing A Mountain For 2 Years To Feed A Stray Dog

Ellen Wilkie September 2, 2020

A dog named Noorung was known to be taking shelter on a mountain top. The place is very steep and surrounded by cliffs. It’s not a good place for any dog.

One woman has frequently been climbing up the mountain just to feed Noorung. The woman took pity on the dog, so she continually fed him.

The woman has done this for the past two years. Even though Noorung is familiar with the woman, he would still avoid her. He does not like people approaching him.

The woman said that Noorung was not like this before. Noorung was not wary of people in the past. Someone must have threatened him with a stick because he seemed to be afraid of it as well.

The mountain is a tourist attraction in the area, so there are a lot of people climbing it every day. One of the tourists must have scared Noorung off.

Someone called the people from the Korean Animal Welfare Association. That person asked for their assistance to rescue Noorung.

It was challenging to rescue a dog, but the rescuers still did it. The rescue was a success, and Noorung was brought to the clinic to get assessed.

Noorung had heartworms but is asymptomatic. This means that his condition can easily be treated. The woman who has been feeding Noorung volunteered to foster him until he finds a good home.

This kind woman does not have to climb up the mountain anymore. She would wake up every day with Noorung on her side.

She is hoping that Noorung would one day trust humans again. That day will arrive, but for now, the woman is contented that she’s able to take care of Noorung.

Noorung is finally out of danger. He now lives in a good home with a warm bed. Noorung is finally safe.
